Streaming with The Sharks!

Year after year, the San Jose Sharks have been one of the top teams in the NHL. Their home rink, The Shark Tank, is a wild and raucous venue that Shark fans just love and can’t get enough. This means expectations are high when you’re working with an elite, professional organization. The Sharks have a huge legion of dedicated fans, so they called up one of the best production companies in the Bay Area, Argus HD, to translate their vision into reality. The team has deep experience in broadcast level production from the likes of ESPN & Fox Sports and the advanced tools that come with this. The same announcers that broadcast their game, were the hosts. They held us accountable to nothing less than their high standard. Through careful and detailed planning and preparation, we thrived meeting their expectations.We were tasked to film and live stream the event for those watching from home, work and around the world! Argus’ broadcast team built a state of the art mobile studio within the suite level where fans are usually cheering on the team. From our mobile studio, we brought in the technology to create live graphics, video playback, and a social component. All custom built to service all of the San Jose Sharks needs. The San Jose Sharks broadcast was a multi-camera set up with video switching between studio cameras and field reporters interviewing fans. All with the ability to interact with the studio desk. The San Jose Sharks are very social media savvy and pushed the boundaries of how we can show and have fans interact with social media. We created custom green screens for the graphics to create a see thru transparency. Tweets and the studio commentators were brought in live that the hosts interacted with. It was quite a show and very important for The Sharks and their fans to be up close and personal with the players, coaches and organization.
