Project Description
Client: Concert For America
Founded in 2017 by Seth Rudesky and James Wesley, the Concert For America is a star-studded concert series hosted monthly in different cities around the United States. Its goal is to raise fund for a variety of different charities, including the National Immigration Law Center, the Sierra Club, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
Argus HD was tasked with broadcasting and live-streaming the June, 2017 concert live from San Francisco’s historic Curran Theater. The show featured performances from Glee star Jane Lynch, writer Armistead Maupin, The Office‘s Kate Flannery, Queer as Folk‘s Hal Sparks, Broadway performers Kevin Chamberlin and Faith Prince, comedian Marga Gomez, the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus, singers Paula West, Pasquale Esposito, and Wicked star Shoshana Bean, and features appearances from Sharon Gless (Cagney & Lacey, Queer as Folk) Rory O’Malley (Hamilton), and Wilson Cruz (My So-Called Life).
The ultimate setup used three robotic cameras connected to our backstage control booth, from where we controlled the cameras, cut the show, and streamed the show live to Facebook.
